NOT YOUR TYPICAL
IEP AdvocatE
Partnership and support through the IEP/504 process & beyond
advocacy that doesn't miss the point.
From both parents and teachers, IEP Advocates can get a bad rap. They breeze in & out, they only show up when there is a problem, and they don’t really know the child or the team.
What if the role of an IEP & 504 Advocate looked different? What if it was focused on being proactive and building relationships with parents, team members, teachers, and most importantly, the student?

I am not a lawyer. I've just worked in special education and have seen a desperate need for a different type of helping role in the IEP & 504 process. Yes, I'm an advocate - but not your typical advocate.

I know this process can be overwhelming, but that's what I'm here for.

After getting my Master's in Special Education, I've spent almost a decade working in both the classroom & home setting working cooperatively with and building relationships with families, school teams and students.
My passion is bringing transparency to the table. I want families to better understand the side of the educators and for the educators to really hear families. I want to streamline meetings so that everyone's time is used efficiently and the work being done as a team is truly collaborative.
